You can use a chemical cleaner to disinfect although this will not be effective to remove the long term stains caused by the human urine.
Moreover, chemical-based products can scuff the toilet surface and your toilet may become less shiny. There can also be grooves that will be tougher to clean. So, baking soda paste is the best solution for removing stains from the plastic toilet seat.
You can also use bacteria-killing spray which will not make your toilet less shiny. Leave the spray for 5 to 10 minutes and allow it to disinfect the toilet seat then wipe the seat out with a damp cloth. After disinfecting your toilet you can move forward to remove the stains from the toilet bowl.
You need to make a paste by mixing one-quarter cup of water and the same amount of baking soda then spread the paste in the stained area of the plastic toilet seat.
Leave the mixture in your toilet seat for fifteen to twenty minutes then scrub the stained area with a sponge without a scouring pad. Scrub the stained areas with a damp sponge in circular motions to clean the seat properly.
Repeat this process until the toilet becomes clean and spray it again with the disinfecting spray. After spraying wipe the toilet bowl after five minutes and there will be no stain on your toilet seat.
